Managing Director

Professional Services

THE COMPANY

Our confidential client is a privately held business providing consultative human resources and workforce-related services within an exclusive multi-state territory. The company operates as part of a larger global organization that is consistently ranked among the top three providers worldwide in the core services it delivers. This affiliation provides unmatched scale, credibility, and resources, while the business itself maintains a strong entrepreneurial, relationship-driven culture at the regional level.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Managing Director will serve as the senior leader of the business, responsible for day-to-day leadership, client ownership, and the execution of strategy for sustainable growth and profitability. This is a hands-on, player-coach role requiring strong business acumen, cultural leadership, and a visible external presence.

The Managing Director will lead and inspire a cross-functional, largely remote team while personally managing some of the firm’s largest and most strategic clients, including Fortune 500 organizations. This individual will also serve as the face of the organization—representing the brand in the business community through client engagements, speaking opportunities, panels, interviews, and thought leadership.

This role is ideal for a leader who is deeply passionate about leading a people-centric solutions business—someone who believes that strong business performance and human impact are not competing priorities, but mutually reinforcing outcomes. The Managing Director must be energized by work that supports individuals, leaders, and organizations through moments of change, and who views people, culture, and trust as core drivers of long-term value.

This position reports to the Owner with five (5) direct reports.

JOB DEFINITION

The ideal candidate is growth-minded, technologically capable, and well experienced in strategic planning, executive-level client leadership, service delivery, operational excellence, and team development. This individual is expected to balance strategic leadership with hands-on client and team engagement, operating effectively in a hybrid and relationship-driven environment.
