THE OPPORTUNITY

The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will lead the company’s revenue generation efforts, working closely with the CEO and Managing Partner as a strategic partner. This role requires overseeing the sales and marketing teams, driving performance across multiple channels, with a significant focus on brand management and enhanced growth. The CRO will use data driven decisions to balance investment into traditional, digital, and social media marketing to diversify sales channels, accelerate revenue growth, and expand market share. By setting clear, measurable goals and refining key performance indicators (KPIs), the CRO will ensure accountability and alignment across the organization. As a key driver of the company’s strategic direction, the CRO will play a pivotal role in optimizing all revenue-related activities, leading the sales team to success, and fostering scalable and sustainable growth. This position is ideal for a passionate leader who thrives in driving growth and is motivated by the challenge of taking this luxury brand to elite status.

This position reports to the CEO and will have a team of seven (7) direct reports.

JOB DEFINITION

The CRO’s primary objectives will be to expand existing business and cultivate new opportunities through strategic marketing and the development of a high-performing sales team. This role demands a visionary revenue leader who can accelerate the company’s growth by innovating and strengthening its presence across both digital and traditional channels. In addition to spearheading strategic initiatives, the CRO will lead and mentor the sales team, ensuring seamless collaboration between marketing and sales to drive maximum revenue generation. The ideal candidate will have a true “roll up your sleeves” attitude and excel in strategic planning, brand management, and leveraging marketing strategies to fuel exceptional growth.

SKILLS

The CRO will help lead and grow the company and develop and implement a comprehensive revenue strategy encompassing all customer journey stages, from acquisition to retention and expansion.

  • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies that encompass long-term vision, mid-term objectives, and short-term tactics to achieve business goals.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis and trend forecasting to inform marketing and sales strategies. Analyze existing client mix and profitability.
  • Define clear marketing and sales objectives, performance indicators, and milestones that align with overall business goals. Provide regular updates on marketing and sales performance to the owner and key stakeholders.
  • Craft a cohesive brand strategy that reflects the company’s values and long-term business objectives.
  • Evaluate the existing brand identity, messaging, and positioning, and recommend adjustments.
  • Establish brand guidelines and standards to ensure consistency across all marketing channels.
  • Develop and manage annual marketing budgets in alignment with the company’s financial objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Allocate resources effectively across marketing initiatives, channels, and campaigns to maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful marketing campaigns, and sales penetration.
  • Oversee day-to-day marketing operations, including website, campaign execution, budget management, and performance tracking.
  • Identify and analyze potential marketing opportunities, including new market segments, partnership possibilities, and emerging trends.
  • Drive sales, ensuring revenue targets are achieved while aligning sales efforts with the marketing strategy.
  • Establish sales targets and align them with strategic marketing initiatives to drive growth.
  • Hire, train, and develop sales and marketing teams.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, channels, and markets to diversify revenue streams.
  • Use data and analytics to track and report on revenue, marketing, and sales performance.
  • Focus on key metrics, including digital and pipeline growth, conversion rates, and revenue generation.
  • Forecast revenue generation and monitor all revenue streams.
  • Analyze sales data and report on market trends, customer preferences, and the competitive landscape.

 

Leadership and Management:

  • Foster a high-performance sales and marketing culture that encourages growth and innovation.
  • Lead and manage the sales teams, set sales goals, develop sales plans, establish clear expectations and accountability, and ensure the teams meet or exceed targets.
  • Lead team meetings to inform, align, and motivate the teams.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations, review meetings, set performance goals, and implement corrective actions and improvements based on performance analysis.

BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE

  • A strong sense of urgency and a proactive problem-solver with 10-15 years of sales and marketing management experience with a minimum of 5 years at the management level.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Charismatic overachiever who is dedicated, passionate, fun, organized and adaptable.
  • Strong work ethic; e.g. “hands-on” leader who must be able to “roll-up” their sleeves and work shoulder-to-shoulder with all levels of the company.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
