THE OPPORTUNITY

This newly created position will lead and manage all marketing operations of the company and develop its marketing strategy and vision. Our client is looking for an experienced marketing professional that will play an integral part in moving the company forward. As the company is poised to expand their reach, the Vice President of Marketing will be instrumental in developing and implementing the company’s marketing plans and brand strategy. This position will be a critical focal point impacting the exposure and expansion of the business in the marketplace. The Vice President of Marketing will be a relationship driven contributor who has demonstrated advancement of company objectives through data analysis, process implementation, and team development. They will be expected to develop marketing strategies that will take advantage of current industry trends and enhance current brand management of proprietary products. This is a dynamic family environment focused on providing exceptional client experiences.

This position reports to President with two (2) direct reports.

JOB DEFINITION

The Vice President of Marketing will be an achievement-oriented, demonstrated marketing leader who is highly strategic and driven to attain positive results.   • The Vice President of Marketing will develop comprehensive marketing strategies that encompass long-term vision, mid-term objectives, and short-term tactics to achieve business goals.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis and trend forecasting to inform the development of strategic plans.
  • Define clear objectives, milestones, and performance indicators, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Craft a cohesive brand strategy that aligns with the company’s overall objectives and values.
  • Evaluate the existing brand identity, messaging, and positioning, and recommend adjustments or rebranding if necessary.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for launching exclusive brands into new markets.
  • Define brand guidelines and standards to ensure consistency across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
  • Develop annual marketing budgets in alignment with the company’s financial objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Allocate resources effectively across different marketing initiatives, channels, and campaigns to maximize ROI and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and market penetration.
  • Oversee day-to-day marketing operations, including campaign execution, budget management, and performance tracking.
  • Identify and analyze potential marketing opportunities, including new market segments, partnership possibilities, and emerging trends.
  • Implement best practices to reach both business clients and consumers effectively.

 

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead a dynamic marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gain buy-in and support for proposed strategies, fostering cross-functional alignment and synergy.
  • Establish processes and workflows to streamline marketing operations and improve efficiency.
  • Work with other departments and/or product groups to effectively implement initiatives and develop/promote teamwork across the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial flair, passion for business and thrive in an action-packed growth fueled atmosphere of success.
  • Must be self-aware and effectively work with others to ensure open communication and feedback.
  • Attend demonstrations, trade shows, sales meetings, exhibitions, conventions and other promotional activities that may be beneficial to enhance the overall sales initiatives for the company.

BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE

  • A strong sense of urgency and a proactive problem-solver with 10-15 years of marketing management experience with a minimum of 5 years at the management level.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in brand development, product marketing, and market expansion strategies.
  • Able to deliver results in a fast paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial culture, where the industry and environment is dynamic.
  • Charismatic overachiever who is dedicated, passionate, fun, organized and adaptable.
  • Strong work ethic; e.g. “hands-on” leader who must be able to “roll-up” their sleeves and work shoulder-to-shoulder with all levels of the company.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills; the ability to establish and maintain rapport / trust with stakeholders at a variety of levels, both internal and external to the company.
  • Highly developed organizational, planning and management writing skills, oral communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree is required; Business, Marketing or Communications.
