Our client is looking for an experienced General Manager that will play a key role integrating growth strategies to create a best-in-class system. The General Managers responsibilities will be broad and include oversight of all daily operations of seven (7) locations with multiple sales verticals including: retail, marina/slip rental and service. The GM will directly manage sales, financial oversight including planning and budgeting, human resources, and service. The desired candidate will plan, execute, and coordinate the business to deliver results and grow. The General Manager must be dedicated to developing people and be comfortable working in a nontraditional, fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and independent, this individual will be expected to set up operational policies and procedures, set tactical direction and structure for a multi-location organization. Candidate must be extremely hands-on and possess the ability to integrate cross functional teams, leveraging established performance and strengthening team integration.
This position reports to the Board of Directors and will have 8 functional areas reporting directly
The GM will mentor and coach the existing team to keep the integrity of the current culture intact but will thoughtfully assess the current team and the organizational structure to optimize the overall business. The new GM will create a documented strategic plan to set the course of tactical objectives, set clear expectations, manage processes and procedures to ensure accountability through a workable performance management system. Help individuals set goals and assure the team is accomplishing their individual goals. This individual must have a strong work ethic with exceptional organizational skills. It is essential that the GM builds trust within the team while keeping high performing departments performing at existing and growth levels. GM must be innovative to create new opportunities and sustainability along with implementing best practices.
This position will be responsible for running a broad scope of responsibilities for seven (7) multi-location regions. This is a customer focused culture that takes pride in exceeding their customers’ expectations by delivering practical solutions and supreme service.
