The Vice President of Sales will lead the process of developing and implementing aggressive but realistic annual sales plans, per sales associate, targeted to increase sales volume in the respective key accounts, delivering consistent year-over-year revenue growth.

Position reports to the President & Chief Financial Officer.
Position has nine (9) direct reports; including Outside Sales Associates and an Inside Sales Manager.
Work with other departments and/or product groups to effectively implement initiatives and develop/promote teamwork across the organization.
Development and implementation of company wide sales strategy, process, marketing and underlying objectives.
Creates individual performance objectives per sales team member, and reviews one-on-one with each sales team member; ensuring individual accountability and alignment to the company’s objectives.
Drive team sales approach across the organization, demonstrating the overall process and how to integrate various departments and/or products in the sales presentation.
Develop and implement policies and procedures along with “best practices” for all sales and account management personnel.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and corporate values and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the sales team.
Encourage communication; facilitate staff meetings to promote sales education, industry trends, and operational effectiveness.
Reports on the sales and solution delivery pipeline performance-against-budget and projected future activity to the leadership team, as well as prepare/present sales reports that show current and future account performance per sales team member.
Directly responsible for the recruitment, training, mentoring and supervision of the sales and account management teams.
Defines procedures and responsibilities within the sales team.
Fosters and maintains highly effective internal partnerships with key departments (e.g., Inside Sales, Counter Sales, Branch Managers, Quotation Manager and Purchasing).
Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners external to the company.
Establishes, maintains and continually enhances a sales and revenue forecasting system that provides accurate, reliable and predictable information regarding retention of existing accounts/customers, prospects and viable opportunities.
Implements sales and business development plans and programs, short and long-range, to ensure profitable growth and expansion.
Monitors the latest trends in sales strategy and techniques and modifies the company approach accordingly.
Supports all business development efforts by participating in targeted new account presentations, sales campaigns and proposals.
Deliver sales presentations to key customers and trade affiliate groups.
Regularly meets with accounts/customers to understand all important issues, developing strong professional relationships with these key stakeholders.
Attends demonstrations, trade shows, sales meetings, exhibitions, conventions and other promotional activities that may be beneficial to enhance the overall sales initiatives for the company.
Develops and implements sales compensation programs consistent with company growth goals and budgetary requirements.
Monitors competitor products, services, sales and marketing activities and provides feedback and recommendations to executive team.
Exemplary interpersonal skills, including executive presence and the ability to establish and maintain rapport / trust with stakeholders at a variety of levels, both internal and external to the company.
Must be articulate, resourceful, and creative, possessing the ability to work with and adapt to all kinds of people. One who exhibits patience, perseverance and persuasiveness.
Humble with an ability to work well in a small/medium sized company with a minimum support network.
Proven ability to work with cross functional teams consisting of highly skilled and technically proficient workforce.

Bachelor’s Degree is required; Business, Marketing or Communications. A Master’s degree is preferred.
A strong sense of urgency and a proactive problem-solver with 10-15 years of progressive sales management experience with a minimum of 5 years at the management level.
Proven track record as Director of Sales, Vice President of Sales who has managed outside sales professionals and account managers etc.
Proven career history of selling products and/or service into the Trade Industries or managing a sales infrastructure in Distribution/Wholesale companies.
Proven ability to demonstrate the highest integrity within their personal and professional life.
Able to deliver results in a fast paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial culture, where the industry and environment is dynamic.
Proven track record of successfully growing revenue while maintaining budget accountability.
