A Look Back at 2025 — and the Road Ahead

Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy 2026!  2025 represented another banner year for Harvey Hohauser & Associates, topping our metrics and improving our performance numbers from 2024 for a third year in a row. This progress is attributable to the empowerment and performance of the team. Nicole Regula, our Vice President-Executive Recruitment Operations and our new (as of July of this year) CFO & Director of Administration Melissa Hohauser are entrenched into our five-year strategic plan. Holding us all accountable to achieve the vision Eric & I have established: By putting the heart back into hiring and the care in culture we inspire unconditional performance with our clients, the candidates we interface with and the cultures we impact.  Our strategy is also our objective – to enrich individuals who exponentially improve their communities.

We had several new clients represented in new industries this year. Indicative of a strong learning of our tried and true 140 step process, which has been refined over four decades. New client industries included: a labor union, drone manufacturer, family offices and educational supply. These new clients demonstrated the power of partnership as we supported the location, recruitment and integration of key executive leadership in their existing teams.

We also saw many repeat family & private business clients this year including an automotive supplier we’ve supported under three different ownership structures and CEOs. In addition to client companies in construction, trades and infrastructure industries. As our relationships with these entities span decades, it is easy to see why we think of them as family.

A select group of our multi-generational family business clients experienced our FEA (Family Enterprise Advisor) training in action during active searches and asked us to bring these structures, guidelines and governance to their organizations. Helping them to develop family constitutions, leadership and management norms, as well as continuity (succession) planning. These consulting engagements resulted in our clients building greater resilience, bolstering continuity, increasing enterprise value and strengthening market share in their industry sectors.

Our ability to adapt positioned us to serve our clients well as global advancements in AI and changing trade laws demanded new perspectives from highly performing executives. We’re proud of our ability to measure and assess new talents and skills demanded in the evolving workforce. Our malleable behavioral based interview methods uncovered the match of these knowledge bases in alignment with cultural targets.

Bringing our independent, culturally focused approach consistently reveals exceptional talent beyond the expected. A long-standing automotive client retained us to recruit a duo of plant managers for two of their flagship operations, the depth of leadership uncovered via our short-list reshaped the outcome. Impressed by the caliber and cultural fit of finalists, the client ultimately chose to hire four of the finalists to strengthen their entire operational footprint.

Respect for our history will bring us to celebrate our 40th anniversary this year. On Thursday, October 15th we will be hosting a celebration at Meadowbrook Hall in Rochester to honor our founder, Harvey R. Hohauser, Ph.D. and thank all of you for your support over the years. Be on the lookout for a save the date and invitation in the coming year.  As the Year of the Horse fully takes shape in February symbolizing passion, dynamism and leadership, we look ahead with optimism and purpose. We are grateful for the continued trust and energized to support our partnership with you in 2026 and beyond. Helping organizations identify, recruit and integrate leaders who strengthen culture, ensure continuity, and achieve organizational goals while leading with confidence into the future.

Please stay in touch and let us know if there is any way we can be of assistance.

All the best,
Eric & Todd Hohauser
