Their restoration capabilities are vast, and their specialties are many; from residential electronics and data recovery to complete factory rebuilds. With steady and calculated growth; they have evolved into a world-class operation and are recognized as a national leader in recovery and restoration services. Their national headquarters are in a 150,000-sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility in Southeastern Michigan with a national network of franchise operations. They currently employ 200+ nationwide and are experiencing continued growth and geographical expansion.

THE OPPORTUNITY

In conjunction with the President, this position will help with the strategic sales direction for the company. We are looking for an experienced and innovative sales professional that will play an integral part in moving the company forward. As the company is poised to expand their reach, the prime role for the Director of Sales Operations will be instrumental in developing and implementing the company’s future strategic sale and account management direction. With corporate offices located in Michigan and an ever-expanding franchise network, this position will be responsible for all aspects of sales, business development, and account management functions of all services offered.

This position reports to the President and will have 6 – 7 direct reports.

JOB DEFINITION

The Director of Sales Operations will lead the process of developing and implementing aggressive but realistic annual sales plans targeted to increase franchise market share, delivering consistent year-over-year revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial flair, passion for business and thrive on an action-packed growth fueled atmosphere of success. An overachiever who is dedicated, organized and passionate, willing to get the job done at any cost and adaptable to a well-developed team.

  • Development of the organization’s sales strategy, process and underlying objectives.
  • Conducts one-on-one performance reviews with each team member to develop and ensure his/her team is accountable to the department’s objectives.
  • Drive team sales approach across the organization (value proposition), demonstrating the overall process and how to integrate the various departments in the sales presentation.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures along with “best practices” for all sales and account management personnel.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and corporate values and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Encourage communication; facilitate staff/franchisee meetings to promote sales education, industry trends, research skill development and operational effectiveness.
  • with other business units to effectively implement initiatives and develop/promote teamwork across the organization.
  • Reports on the sales and solution delivery pipeline performance-against-budget and projected future activity to the Executive Team and franchise system.

BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working within a franchise group, or a multi-site/multi-unit, is required.
  • A strong sense of urgency and a proactive problem-solver with 10-15 years of progressive sales management experience with a minimum of 5 years at the management level.
  • Proven track record as Director of Sales, Director of Sales Operations who has managed a team.
  • Proven track record of successfully growing revenue while maintaining budget accountability.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills, including executive presence and the ability to establish and maintain rapport / trust with stakeholders at a variety of levels, both internal and external to the company.
  • Must be articulate, resourceful, and creative, possessing the ability to work with and adapt to all kinds of people. One who exhibits patience, perseverance and persuasiveness.
  • Must have strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Organized, methodical; able to manage multiple priorities, stress and deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic; e.g. “hands-on” leader.
  • 25-50% travel required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; preferably in Engineering, Business or Marketing.
